Consumer New Zealand chief executive Sue Chetwin joined Firstline this morning to explain what families can do to keep the bills in check.

She says rising food, fuel and electricity prices are combining with the ongoing effects of last October’s GST increase to make it “pretty difficult” for families – especially in the middle of winter.
