19,000 Mt Ruapehu ski passes have been snapped up online for just $1 each.
The offer was meant to entice Australians to the North Island, but somehow Kiwis got onto the deal and were left wondering whether it would be honoured.
Consumer New Zealand says once the deal is done and no conditions have been breached, it should be honoured.
