How does the cost of groceries here compare with other countries?
With the help of Australia’s Channel 7, 3 News shopped for a similar basket of groceries in four cities around the world to see how our prices compared.
Consumer NZ says there are simple ways to save money while supermarket shopping. Write a list, buy the cheapest brands, stock up on specials and join the store’s loyalty scheme. Also, it helps to take a set amount of money and not shop on an empty stomach.
