Consumer NZ says retailers need to warn shoppers about credit card surcharges.

If you get upset over being hit with steep surcharges every time you buy something or pay a bill with your credit or debit card, you're not alone.

Both the banking ombudsman and Consumer New Zealand say they're getting more complaints about the surcharges, particularly as more people are making transactions over the internet.
