A couple have been forced to scramble to hire wedding cars after the company they booked with pulled out a week before their big day.

Consumer NZ adviser Paul Doocey said it was crazy the company had not honoured the booking.

"I think it's ridiculous. You can't take bookings and then just let people extend their booking and then leave your [other] customers.
