ISP survey draw

Thanks to all who responded to our recent internet service providers survey.

We had an excellent response from more than 12,000 members. The winners of our $500 cash draw were V Frater and M Flitter.

Our findings on members’ ratings of the performance of their internet service provider will be published in December.

Landlords Rights Posted by: cas001 16 Nov 2010 3:57pm

Recently my tenants called and said they had broken a window and asked me to have it repaired. They said they had phoned the tenants advisory service and been told that as it was 'accidental' damamge it was the landlords reponsibility to repair and pay for it. I did get it fixed and pay for it as I didnt want to enter into a dispute. However, it has raised some concerns for me, could a tenant 'accidentally' put holes in the walls, rip curtains etc etc and the landlord would be responsible? I would like to know how other landlords view this.

7 hours and still waiting for Slingshot Posted by: David Carter 16 Nov 2010 7:49am

I recently tried to move my Slingshot account. I provided a weeks notice prior to moving and a month after moving into my new home I have still not had all my services restored and Slingshot has over charged me by by direct debit by $191 this month. They charged me for a cancelling a contract I didn't have and charged for services I didn't recieve. Shocking service all-round. I have logged a formal complaint and I'm still waiting for an explanation. Some how I don't think I'll hear from them.
