Honda Jazz

Honda's new Jazz needs jazzing up.

Last September in our Compact cars report, we said of Honda's first generation Jazz: "Would be the pick of our bunch - if only it had stability control".

Now a second generation of the Jazz is on the market. It improves on the first generation in just about all respects - no mean feat - except one.

This class-leading small car is still not fitted with stability control - it isn't even an option in New Zealand. That's simply not good enough Honda.

Honda New Zealand says it can't source the Jazz from Japan with stability control - and will as soon as it can. We hope that time is soon.

In this class of car and in our market, other manufacturers do have stability control available. It's a shame Japan's second-biggest car company cannot supply this proven safety device in an otherwise very deserving car.
