Some businesses in Christchurch are reportedly hiking up their prices in the wake of the fatal earthquake.

There are reports of some retailers charging up to $15 for two bottles of milk.

David Naulls from Consumer New Zealand says a business can charge what it likes but the organisation condemns such behaviour.
