Lyn Norris and our chief executive Sue Chetwin inspect the Sunbeam Cafe Espresso

Lyn Norris of Wellington and her partner Nick went shopping with Consumer last month.

Lynn was the winner of our $5000 Shopping and Advice Day promotion when she joined us in September.

“It was a terrific opportunity,” Lyn said. “Once we got home and mastered the instruction manuals we sat back and enjoyed our new big screen TV that was plugged into our JBL sound system for quality sound, enjoying a lovely cup of espresso freshly made from our Sunbeam espresso machine, with milk nicely chilled by our new F&P fridge-freezer. We felt very special.”

Lyn spent her $5000 on the Fisher & Paykel Elba RF402B fridge-freezer, JBL CSP630 home-theatre system, Sony Bravia KDL32W5500 LCD television, and the Sunbeam Cafe Espresso EM3800. Except for the Sony Bravia, all of these products were tested and recommended by us.

Lyn requested advice from Hamish Wilson our Testing Manager on retrofitting a ducted heat pump. Hamish advised her that it would be much cheaper to install a second heat pump in the bottom level of their house to support the heat pump they have on the top level.
