Avant Task and Operator office chairs
The problem
The "star" wheel base of the chairs is faulty and may lead to the chair base breaking, causing a falling hazard.
Details
The affected chairs are:
- SKU 78921 or 78922 Avant 1 Lever Task Chair
- SKU 78923 or 78924 Avant 2 Lever Task Chair
- SKU 78925 or 78926 Avant Operator 3 Mid Back Chair
- SKU 78927 or 78928 Avant Operator 3 High Back Chair
The recalled models have a batchcode of SX-E280 or SX-E300 stamped inside the star base in one of the 5 legs.
Sold between May 2008 and late 2009 at Warehouse Stationery stores.
What to do
Contact Warehouse Stationery, either by phone on 0800 222 246 or in store; to arrange a replacement base or chair (unassembled).
