Dell notebook batteries update
The problem
It is possible for the batteries to overheat, creating a potential fire risk.

Battery packs sold with Dell Inspiron laptops from 1 April 2004 to 18 July 2006.
Following new information, the number of notebook batteries affected has been expanded.
Please visit www.dellbatteryprogram.com to see if your battery pack is affected, even if you previously checked during the original 2006 recall.
What to do
Stop using the battery as a power source for your notebook computer and go to www.dellbatteryprogram.com to arrange a free replacement battery. Call 0800 446 255 with any queries.
