Follow up: Meteor tabletop patio gas heaters

In September 2009 Mitre 10 initiated a recall for the following Meteor tabletop gas heaters. Some products have not yet been returned.
The problem
The carbon monoxide levels emitted by some units of this product may be unsafe and possibly an extreme health hazard if used incorrectly or in an indoor or un-vented environment.

Meteor tabletop patio gas heaters, both stainless steel and powdercoated finishes.
Purchased from Mitre 10 stores since 2006.
What to do
