The problem
Due to a defect the pumps may short circuit, potentially resulting in an electric shock hazard.

The following products, with production codes from N1 0945 to N1 1027, are affected:

  • Grundfos JPRain pump, part codes 96827879, 96827877, 96827878, 96827880, 96827881, 96827882, 96827840, 96935306, 96935307, 97533434, 97533802, 97533804.
    Grundfos labelling
  • Grundfos JPB pump, part codes 96827874, 96827875, 96827876, 96827837, 96827839, 96121934, 96935308, 96935309, 96935310, 96935311, 96935296, 96935297, 96935298, 96935305.
  • Grundfos NSB pump, part codes 96827808, 96827809.

Production codes can be found on labelling on the pump's terminal box (see picture, right).

What to do
Cease using the pump. If the pump is installed and operating, disconnect it from its power source. Under no circumstances should the pump unit be touched before being disconnected.
