The problem
The fitting kit may fail allowing the roof rack and product being carried to detach from the vehicle roof. In the event of complete detachment this is a potential risk of injury to other road users.
Details
K459 fitting kit, for Prorack or Whispbar roof racks on Holden JG Cruze Sedan (May 2009 onwards) and Holden JH Cruze Sedan (November 2011 onwards) cars.
What to do
Cease using the fitting kit and roof rack immediately, call 0800 4776 722 (and ask for Nikki Growcott) to arrange for the return of the kit and a full refund. Email K459recall@hubco.co.nz for more information.
