The problem
Due to a malfunctioning buckle, it could be difficult to unbuckle a child quickly in an emergency.

The following brands and models are affected:

  • Mother's Choice 3-in-1 car seat, model number LB515
  • Babywise 3-in-1 car seat, model number LB513

Sold through SuperCheap Auto, Repco, Farmers, The Warehouse, Smith City and specialty stores between November 2007 to April 2011.

What to do
Do not use the car seat if there is any sign of the buckle malfunctioning. All customers should call 0800 628 000 or email customerservice@igcdorel.com.nz to arrange to have a new buckle installed, or alternatively return the seat to the place of purchase for a full refund.
