The problem
If water and detergent are inadvertently spilt in the lid-locking switch device, it could conduct a low electric current to the lid.

- Simpson 22S950M, serial number 851 50013
- Simpson SWT552SA, serial number 920 54230
- Simpson SWT605SA, serial number 920 54333
- Simpson SWT802SA, serial number 920 50411
- Simpson SWT902SA, serial number 920 52807
- Simpson SWT955SA, serial number 936 51259

The following Electrolux models with serial numbers up to and including those listed are affected:
- Electrolux EWT606SA, serial number 936 51151
- Electrolux EWT806SA, serial number 908 51752
- Electrolux EWT806SB, serial number 931 50755
- Electrolux EWT959SA, serial number 928 51041
The model and serial numbers can be found on the rating plate fixed to the back of the machine.
What to do
The machine can continue to be used safely. However, please switch off the machine at the control panel (see illustration below) while loading and unloading your machine and when not in use.

Call 0800 277 542 or visit www.simpson.co.nz/recall or www.electrolux.co.nz/recall to arrange for a service technician to fit an automatic isolating device behind the control panel. The service call will take about 30 minutes.
