Belkin TuneBase iPhone/iPod car kits
The problem
Under conditions of heat, humidity or prolonged connection to a power supply, the car kits may overheat and short circuit potentially resulting in fire.
Details
The following products purchased on or after 1 April 2009 are affected:
- TuneBase Direct with Hands-Free, model number F8Z441 (also known as F8Z441au)
- TuneBase FM with Hands-Free, model number F8Z442
- TuneBase FM with ClearScan, model number F8Z176
The model number is located on the back of each product.
What to do
Stop using the car kit. Contact 0800 445 844 or vist www.belkin.com to arrange a replacement model, free of charge.
