Guide to the table

Our test was conducted in the laboratories of the Australian consumer organisation Choice. Models were tested against the safety standard AS-NZS 1927:1998 (not mandatory for 30cm bikes).

Brake placement

  • BP = back-pedal brakes (activated by pedalling in reverse)
  • FB = front-rim brake
  • RB = rear-rim brake.
