We tested 7 in-car GPS units and put them through a mix of rural and urban navigation routes.
5 of the units we tested were brand leaders, the other 2 were bought from Trade Me.
One of the well-known brands took us on a circuitous route through town, while the unnamed model from Trade Me did surprisingly well but came with an illegal charger.
