PS3

Hi
I brought my PS3 in December 2007. It got the YLOD in November 2010, which Sony fixed under the CGA. They fixed it by giving me a refurbished model. The refurbished model now has the YLOD. It's coming up to 4.5 years and I was wondering if it's worth trying to get them to fix it again? Does it make any difference that the refurbished PS3 only lasted 1.5 years?
Thanks for any advice.
Cheers

last month I brought a Dishtv hard drive recorder. During the month there has been four periodic problems ranging from the device freezing, hard drive saying it is full when over 70% free space left on the drive, not recording or playing back sound and pixilation on play back. As it was still under guarantee I sent it back. It took them two weeks before they looked at the product and after testing they returned it to me saying they could not find any faults. At time of reporting the fault I clearly stated that it was periodic faults, so where do I stand under the Guarantees Act on getting a refund or replacement product? Thanks for your help
Who pays for sending replacement parts?

My blender lid has broken and the seller has forwarded me an email from the manufacturer that states they often get lids with similar cracking, it occurs when the tamper is used and the pressure on the lid causes the cracks. They don't have new lids but could give me a demo lid if I pay the $15 courier fee.
Do I have the right to a new lid, given that I used the tamper as per the instruction book?
Who should pay the courier fee in this case, the seller, manufacturer or myself?
Thanks

A retailer had 4 signs on 2 floor to ceiling displays of Hand Bags. Sale 13th April to 16th April 50% off. The 4 adverts were still on display on the 19th and the retailer would not honour the advertised special. They said they were not legally bound to because they had dates on them even though they were still displaying them 3 days after the expired date!!! I think it is rather poor consumer relations!!! What do you think?

Last year we bought an electronic rodent repellant to get rid of mice in our ceiling. After a few days of use, it was obvious that it wasn't working, but we read that sometimes nests take weeks to get rid of. Six weeks later it still wasn't working, so we emailed the company we had bought it from. They never responded. Eventually the noise stopped keeping us awake at night and we forgot about it. Now it's that time of the year again and the noise is horrendous. We still see ads for the product stating "it just works". Well, in our case, it just doesn't work. Do we have the right to return the device 10 months later since it does not work for the purpose intended? Especially when they did not respond to our emails?

This question might have already been answered but WHAT & HOW much cover do I have if I purchase a laptop online(DELL) under the CGA?
extended warranties on the laptop are over $300 for 3 years-should I get it?

We brought a new fridge/freezer from a company in hamilton. 5yrs later it has died due to a seres of gas leaks. The company says that they only have to replace only half of the life expectancy, which in this case is 5 years and will not replace it with a new fridge. What are our rights on this...the company has also taken ages to sort this problem out and we have been without a fridge/freezer for about 1 month now. Do they have t replace/refund a product that is faulty? or can they just say well you have had 5 years so we will half the cost of a new fridge/freezer to give you another 5 years?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Having signed a 12 month contract with a local gym, I wondered later on that afternoon if indeed it was a wise move.
I have not used the gym yet (the start date of membership is not for 2 weeks hence), do I have a right to cancel the contract?
