It's not difficult to see why power prices have gone up.
in canada power costs around 1c per kw/hr to generate.
how much different is nz i wonder ?.
you only need to look at the return to shareholders which is often well above the norm.
i'm sure population growth hasn't mirrored the employment growth in the power co's ?.
the prime real estate that they either own or occupy in major cities has become quite obvious in the last decade.
nz tax payers were substantial contributors to power generation,we didn't fair up well !
one would think the public need some
explanation as we once were "the" owners of the power co's.
