I agree with all the previous comments and would like to add another aspect that has arisen with other reports. The product number quoted seldom seems to be the same as the ones quoted with the retailers adverts. Does each store have their own number perhaps - if so that could be explained.
What I have discovered while shopping this week is that rotary shavers might be better for soft to average growth and foil shavers better for
coarser stubble. Also more blades on each head means fewer strokes over the same spot. Is that right guys? ( It's the expensive ones that have the 3 blades per head.).

And how about testing lady shavers one day soon. That would be great!
Consumer does it again

Another consumer review where the most expensive items are the best. Unsurprising. Consumer needs to realise we are not all cashed up and may want to buy something cheaper. Seriously, $800 on a shaver!! One assumes that the more you pay the better the item but it gets more difficult to select a lower price model. This is where consumer should be helping us. People with money probably don't bother to do the research that those with less need to. Enter consumer...
Electric Shavers - young adolescent male

I'm looking for an electric shaver for my 16-year old, pimply-faced son [sorry son!!].
Which type [rotary or foil] and brand/model would be best suited for this type of scenario?
When is the next round of electric shaver testing scheduled?
Thanks.
Braun has a 90th anniversary special on Series 5 and Series 7 shavers until the end of September. From my searches, LV Martin has the best prices - almost 50% off. I got a 760CC for $259.99 instead of the RRP of $550.
More models tested and more testers

This report is not comprehensive enough and I have not found it helpful at all. I would like to wider range of shavers tested and by a larger sample of people.

I agree. Very superficial report, particularly as I am interested in a rotary model. Only 4 were reviewed, two were mains only (which rules them out for me) and of the remainder one was battery only and $800! (which also rules it out for me).
Very poor.
Cost of replacement "blades"

We have found the cost of replacing heads for a shaver expensive - the price for these being included would be helpful. Also keen to have cheaper brands tested
I have been trying to find the Panasonic shaver ES8109s. You obviously found on to test so can you tell me where.
