Consider off-site backups too

The ioSafe Solo is no doubt a good idea, but there's still a possibility it could be damaged or stolen. Consider supplementing (or replacing) it with an off-site backup that you keep at work or a friend's place.
But the most important thing is to have at least some form of backup. It's amazing how many people blithely think their computer will always power up - until they see the "Irrecoverable disk error" message.
especially as it's good for only one major disaster, and USB is way too slow. Does either of Consumer's tests count as a major disaster?
