I believe that the lack of quality in reasonable priced olive oil in New Zealand is due to the lack of knowledge on which are the best quality olive oils in the world. There are other countries that export oil that have superior quality of Italians or Spanish oils, for example Portugal and Lebanon also export olive oil and olives.

Agree totally, the new mediteranean store located at Coastlands shopping mall Kapiti, stocks a great selection of excellent lebanese olive oils amongst others...
