there seem to be some reliable Brands out there such as non capsule oil which is quite expensive eg Nordic fish oil ,the makers of which state they go to considerable lengths to ensure purity, but alas no comment on this . l sometimes wonder why l bother with Consumer.

This is a very poor test. Advice is pathetic and limited. Do tests research literature and make real informed comments or none at all.

Hi Deborah,
This report is intended as a buying guide, we are considering adding a full test of specific brands of omega-3 fish oil supplements to our testing schedule for next year.
In the meantime we have made this report free to read.
Kind regards,

Was wondering what the recommended intake is for children? The childrens supplements are often fruit flavoured, to make it easier to take, but do they still have the same benefits?

Dear Consumer,
Can you tell us the actual brands and product names that were tested?
Many thanks,
