Kaiora Jam Posted by: Kees 01 Oct 2009 7:53am

I used to use Anathoth jams because they do not add any ingredients other than those you can find in home made jams and they taste like home made jams however I now use Kaiora organic jams for a number of reasons. They also use only natural ingredients. Being organic, I can be sure they do not contain any pesticides etc and I have concerns about the potential harmful health effects of substances such a pesticides included as by products in non organic food. Kaiora jams do not contain any sugar or artificial sweetener. They rely on the natural sweetness of the fruit. As well as containing only natural ingredients, no sweeteners, they come in a recyclable glass jar.

I first tried Anathoth a couple of years ago, I won't buy anything else. It reminds me of my Mums jam.

Jok'n'Al better for diabetics Posted by: Ian MacDonald 29 Sep 2009 8:20pm

As a diabetic who has gone right off sweet foods I find that the tarter taste of Jok'n'Al jam is preferable. Standard sugary jams are just too sickly. The very low sugar and energy content makes the product easier to fit into my diet.

But... Posted by: Christine Brocket 29 Sep 2009 6:36pm

What a shame they use non recyclable packaging I buy barkers because I can recycle the glass jar.

Anathoth jam is delicious, the consistency is the easiest to spread as it's quite runny, unlike the jelly-like cheaper alternatives.
