There's a real community feel about Flickr and the best way to get involved is to join a group that shares your interest (see www.flickr.com/groups for more information).
There are some weird and wonderful groups on the site, ranging from people posting photos of red things to French bulldog owners showing off their pets.
Once you've joined a group, you can post your own photos as well as contributing to any of the forums. These public groups are open to anyone.
If you want to set up something that's a bit more exclusive then there's the private group option.
This is ideal for special occasions, as friends and families can pool together photos from the same event - so you can all admire shots of little Tom's first birthday cake, cousin Rachel's wedding, or even the office Christmas party.
