"LovelySmile" treatments?
Amily

Has anyone had any experiences with "LovelySmile? They use a 16% hydrogen peroxide gel, administered in Chemists with a blue LED light apparently. Much cheaper than a Dentist treatment at $169, but after reading this report I'm nervous about the level of peroxide.
Laser Treatment didn't work

I had laser treatment for my teeth on Thursday and the results were immediate and impressive.
However, my teeth have returned back to their original colour, today being Saturday, only 3 days later. It is disappointing. I found out my teeth were dehydrated after the treatment, hence why they were so white. Now that they are rehydrated again, they are back to their normal colour. I paid $350 for the treatment and will contact the clinic for a refund.

Why do most manufacturers formulate toothpaste so hot that you cannot keep it in your mouth for very long until you have to spit it out. How are we supposed to get the fluoride to absorb into our teeth if we cannot leave it in our mouths for several minutes.

Adverts for toothbrushes and tooth paste never show reality, no toothpaste foam is ever shown, frequently no water either. The teeth are frequently dry or rinsed in clear liquid. Is this a phobia about portraying rabies?
White teeth - fashion not health issue!
Fabulous

I was surprised when I visited my dentist a couple of years ago for a routine checkup, and she said my teeth were in perfect health, well cleaned, etc. Then she said the only treatment she would suggest would be some tooth whitening.
My teeth are a perfectly normal shade of white and I have no yellowing or staining. I was disappointed that when I went to a health professional for a health check, she tried to sell me an expensive and unneccesary cosmetic procedure.
In my opinion we have become too caught up in the quest for a 'perfect' Hollywood-look smile - which I don't find perfect at all. To me they look fake.
By all means, if you have stained teeth and you are embarassed to smile, go ahead and have your teeth whitened. But I would love dental health professionals to make a clear distinction between suggesting HEALTH treatments and COSMETIC treatments to their clients.
