For huts I would recommend a cooker I have used for four years without any problems. It is the cheapest, smallest, lightest, quietest, fastest cooker commonly found for around $40 on special.
A Doite similar to the top consumer photo, which weighs 150g packed in plastic container and measures 5.5cmx5.5cm x9.5cm tall so fits inside the smallest billy.
It has a piezo ignition which is a "must have" backup for matches not packed, lost, nicked or forgotten at the last hut. Only drawback is it has no windscreen and low stability requiring a flat, wind free surface so would not be suitable for outdoors or large billies but ideal for great walk huts without cookers eg the Abel Tasman.
