Great to have some basic info, but I have found it quite hard to find which models are available out there, plus they are not often possible to try your self!

We live in Wellington and have limited space in our garden. We have three active girls and bought a Springfree for Christmas 2009. It is extremely well made, safe and solid. The nets are also very strong so we can rest assured nobody will fall through them. Yes, it was expensive but the kids love it and it will last for years.
We have had a spring free tramp for about 4 yrs and are very happy with it. Incredibly safe and great for the whole family. Would prefer it galvinised but you can't have everything and with a little touch up round the joints the powerdercoat is OK. Also it is a very simple matter to drop the net turn it on its side and roll it up against the fence for storage if you need the space for a party or something.
Buying guide??

Consumer have cut and pasted the same reply to numerous comments above about the lack of guidance to this "buying guide". The intro states "But do expensive trampolines give you more bounce for your buck? We find out." But the buying guide made no assessment of price, or of bounce...

We recently purchased a spring free tramp for our two kids- we are delighted and so are they. Hours of safe and fun bouncing. they commented that it didn't bounce as much as grandmas! But after a day or so they were happy. Well worth the money- and peace of mind.
I know what to look for now

Thanks Consumer. We're thinking of getting our kids a trampoline for Christmas but had no idea where to start...now I have a good guide for the features of the tramps I should be looking for...brand doesn't matter!

Yep, I was looking for a bit more substantive testing. From the title, I was hoping for a bounce review for the springless ones. Anyone have experience with these?

Thank you all for your comments.
This report is intended as a buying guide only. We have no plans to review different models or brands of trampoline. We feel undertaking such a test would prove too costly for the amount of scientific analysis we could obtain from it i.e. bounce reviews.
We suggest trying the product in store before buying.

As above, more info on existing models would be great.
