After many years considering buying a tramp for our 3 kids we purchased a new zealand made Gymleader Euro tramp last christmas. It has a 10 year warranty on the frame but people on trademe are selling these tramps older than this. It has a much better bounce than the cheapies also and you can jump on it with your kids as it doesn't have a weight limit. Sides and ladder are not even an option.

I know of a company that sells replacement springs for the 10" variety.
CMI Springs in Mount Wellington. They are a NZ manufactured spring.

We purchased a 14foot "Double Bounce Tramp" from jumpsport, after owning 2 other sub-standard tramps in the past.
It is fabulous, the technology is amazing, it can take up to 100 kilo,3 or 4 kids at a time no problems cos of the technology u cant double bounce them off, we also got the game mat and basketball hoop, our kids aged from 6-16 spend hours on it, great for the budding trampolinest, plenty of room to flip etc the nets are quality it comes with a very good long term warranty, and will last many years.
Yes it was pricey but SO worth it.

Hi,
it would be great if Consumer did a survey of existing trampoline owners to find out which brands have stood the test of time. Also if the recommendations criteria could be applied to existing trampoline products currently available in NZ as at 2010 and shared with members to save on leg work!

There must be loads of parents turning to these pages right now (Christmas time) looking for recommedations as to which tramp to buy. However I feel I am no further ahead...please add my vote to getting actual reviews of common trampoline brands. Thanks.
We purchased a tramp off trademe 3 years ago brand new.
The net and pads were faulty within the first year. After pushing we got a replacement set of mats but these two had the same problem as the first - they are tied on to the tramp via elastic and this detaches from the mats and then they move around and sit everywhere but on the springs. I have now sewn valcro in place of the elastic and this is working great.
The net has several holes and I would say is on its last legs. The company said we were an isolated case with the mats - but we have friends with the same tramp who have removed the mats and net completely.
My advice would be to view the tramp in person and check that the materials are quality plus warrnty of these items. I guess you get what you pay for. We paid approx $500 (tramp and freight)
Surely there is a "bounce" test?

but you cant always "try in the shop".. there are quite a few brands on auction sites. Your report has not helped me narrow down what to buy.
I have heard people say that there is a notable difference in bounce between brands. It would be great if you guys ever decided to review them. Trampolines will forever be a very popular kids toy!
review please

Am thinking of buying a trampoline for Christmas, are you able to review some of the make/models of them?
