Consumer Mobile FAQs
Answers to some frequently asked questions.
What is Consumer Mobile?
Consumer Mobile (consumer.org.nz/mobile) is a new service for Online and Premium members who want to access Consumer NZ reports while they are on the go - particularily when shopping. The mobile site focuses on the most popular areas of the main site including Appliances, Electronics, and Home and Leisure.
The site has been designed for members using smart-phone devices such as:
- Apple iPhone
- Apple iPod Touch
- Android
Other mobile devices might be able to run the mobile version of the site. However, the handsets above are the specific devices the site has been designed for and others may not run as efficiently. We are working to bring other devices on stream.
How do I access Consumer Mobile?
The Consumer Mobile url is www.consumer.org.nz/mobile.
You’ll need to log in using your existing login and password details. There is currently no extra charge for using Consumer Mobile.
Is it the same as consumer.org.nz?
There are a number of differences.
Rather than the full list of products tested under each Consumer NZ report, the mobile site provides "snapshot" info only on those products that have been recommended or are at least worth considering.
The mobile site is about quick access on the go to the cream of the crop from our reports. So a key difference is that the mobile site doesn’t offer the in-depth research of the full reports on consumer.org.nz.

The mobile site also includes an "about" section, which has a feedback email address for members to keep in touch about their experiences using the site.
