Consumer NZ chief executive Sue Chetwin says: “Consumers need effective customer service from their power companies because electricity and gas are essential utilities. This award will give consumers a voice on the industry’s big night and encourage power companies to pay greater attention to customer service.”
Over 5000 Consumer members participated in last year’s energy provider satisfaction survey. The survey asked participants to rate their energy providers on attributes such as value for money as well as overall performance.
The winner of the 2015 Consumer NZ Energy Retailer of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony on 12 August. The Energy Excellence Awards are the premier black tie event for the energy sector.
