Consumer NZ members have chosen Dunedin pharmacist Paul Larson and Far North District councillor Ann Court to serve on the board for the next 3 years.

Paul is a returning member. He and Ann will join continuing members Richard Aston (chair), Sue Kedgley (deputy chair), Marie Shroff, Jon Duffy and Oscar Alpers.

Ann said she wanted to ensure more people knew about the work of Consumer NZ.

“I don’t think people use Consumer enough. They should know they don’t have to have all these battles on their own,” she said.

“I’m interested in getting the message out to people that there’s a huge amount of information and knowledge here at Consumer. They should use it.”

Paul said he was passionate about making sure people were treated right and making sure Consumer NZ was around well into the future.

“It’s about keeping the organisation here and making sure there’s someone keeping check on how consumers are treated in society,” Mr Larson said.
