Consumer NZ is delighted to announce electricity provider Flick Electric Co. and hearing health care provider Triton Hearing have received Consumer Trusted accreditation.

Launched in 2014, the Consumer Trusted programme is designed to advance the interests of New Zealand consumers by recognising businesses committed to delivering fair and exceptional customer experiences that go above and beyond minimum consumer law requirements.

Consumer NZ general manager – business Derek Bonnar is delighted to welcome these businesses into the Consumer Trusted stable. “Both of these businesses have clearly illustrated their commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences by working through the robust and detailed accreditation process,” Mr Bonnar said.

Flick Electric Co. CEO Steve O’Connor is pleased to achieve the accreditation. “We strive to give our customers a level of love and care they’ve never experienced before in the power category, so having Consumer NZ critique our practices, and provide constructive feedback, has been invaluable,” Mr O’Connor said.

Triton Hearing CEO James Whittaker said the recognition sets a new benchmark in the New Zealand hearing health care industry. “We have demonstrated through this rigorous Consumer Trusted process that we consistently put our clients, and the best hearing solution for them, before anything else,” Mr Whittaker said.

These additions bring the number of businesses accredited under the programme to eight, with a number of other businesses currently working through the accreditation process. “We look forward to growing the programme significantly over the next twelve months and continuing to recognise businesses that provide great customer experiences,” Mr Bonnar said.

Businesses with Consumer Trusted status are licensed to use the accreditation and the Consumer Trusted logo for marketing and promotions. The revenue generated goes straight back into funding the programme and increasing the scope of Consumer NZ’s product testing, advocacy and investigative work.
