The vehicles being recalled are:
All of these cars need their front-seat passenger airbag inflators replaced. Some of these vehicles also need their driver’s side airbag inflator replaced. They are the 2007 CR-Vs and 2005-2007 Jazzs.
Globally, 4.89 million Hondas have been recalled because of the potential for the Takata-supplied airbags to deploy abnormally.
Owners of the affected vehicles have been identified through registration data and will be contacted by Honda New Zealand. You can find out if yours is being recalled by entering your car's registration and VIN on Honda NZ's website.
Honda New Zealand is also investigating second-hand and Japanese used imported Honda vehicles that could be affected. Those owners that can be identified will be contacted.
