The problem

Webbuilders has recalled its 2600 mAh powerbank. The battery can fall out if the powerbank is dropped. As there are no markings on the battery, it may be re-installed incorrectly. This can lead to overheating and pose a fire risk.

Details

The powerbank is unbranded. It was sold as a fundraising product by:

  • St Bede’s College
  • Weedons School
  • Coatesville School

What to do

Stop using the product, especially where the back cover has come off.

If you have not already been contacted, contact either the school where your powerbank was purchased or Webbuilders.

For more information, contact Webbuilders through its online contact form or call 021 415 840.
