The problem

Britax ClickTight convertible car seats are being recalled because the harness adjuster button may stick in the unlocked position. The shoulder straps can then loosen and children may not be protected in a crash.

Details

The affected models were manufactured between 1 August 2014 and 29 July 2015. They are:

  • E9LT95Q - ADVOCATE CT US, CIRCA
  • E9LT71Q - MARATHON CT US, COWMOOFLAGE
  • E9LT75R - MARATHON CT US, VERVE
  • E9LT85Q - BOULEVARD CT US, CIRCA

Model and date can be found on the label under the cover at the front of the seat.

What to do

Contact Britax Childcare NZ to arrange a remedy kit to be mailed to you. In the meantime, you can continue to use the seat safely by making sure the harness adjuster button locks when securing your child.

Call Britax on 09 443 0102 between 9:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
