Delmaine Fine Foods Ltd has recalled a specific batch of its Delmaine Chicken Chowder. The batch contains undeclared fish and crustacea which some people may be allergic to.

The affected batch of Delmaine Chicken Chowder may contain hoki and mussels. It can be identified by the following:

  • Batch marking: 374193
  • Date marking: Use By: 16/11/2016 (ink-jetted) or 16 Nov 2016 (sticker)

Delmaine Chicken Chowder is a heat and eat meal sold in a 600g plastic pouch in supermarkets nationwide.

What to do

Check the batch and date marking located either ink-jetted on the front of the packet or on the sticker at the back of the pouch.

People with a fish and/or crustacea allergy or intolerance should not consume this product. If you have consumed this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice. If you are not allergic or intolerant to fish and/or crustacea, this recall does not affect you.

Customers should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.
