Griffin’s Foods Ltd has recalled a specific batch of its Eta brand 10 Pack Munchos Mix cereal snack. The batch may contain undeclared soy which some people are allergic to.

The 10 Pack Munchos Mix may contain Eta Monster Munch Cheesy Bacon packets instead of Eta Munchos Spicy Tomato packets. The Monster Munch Cheesy Bacon product contains soy, which is declared on the individual packets but not on the outer packaging label.


The affected batch of Eta 10 Pack Munchos Mix is marked with a Best Before date of 10 OCT 17.

The product is a 140g outer plastic pack containing 10 individual snack bags, sold in supermarkets and retail outlets throughout the North Island.

What to do

Check the date marking printed on the back of the outer packaging.

People with a soy allergy or intolerance should not consume this product. If you have consumed this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice. If you are not allergic or intolerant to soy, this recall does not affect you.

Return the products to your retailer for a full refund.
