The problem

Woolworths Homebrand Bleach has been recalled because small holes may develop at the bottom of the bottle. This could cause a slow leak and accidental exposure to the bleach.

The following products are being recalled:

  • Homebrand Bleach 2L Regular, Batch No. 5037 with use-by date 5 Feb 2017.
  • Homebrand Bleach 2L Lemon, Batch No. 5030 with use-by date 29 Jan 2017.

The products were sold nationwide in Countdown, SuperValue and Fresh Choice stores from 12 March 2015.

What to do

Wearing gloves, empty the bottle by pouring the bleach down the sink with plenty of running water. Rinse the bottle and wipe down any affected areas with a damp cloth. Return the empty bottle to any Countdown, SuperValue or Fresh Choice store for a full refund.
