Recall: Kambrook microwave oven

The problem

Kambrook has recalled some of its KMO400 Essentials 30L microwave ovens. A potential component failure may lead to a fire.

Affected Kambrook Essentials 30L microwave ovens can be identified by the following:

  • Model number: KMO400 — printed on the rating label on the back of the appliance

  • Production date code (PDC): 833 to 1321 inclusive — located on or near the rating label. If there is no PDC on or near the rating label, refer to the first four digits of the serial number.

The microwave ovens were sold nationwide during 2008 to September 2013. Units outside of the date range are not affected by this recall.

What to do

Stop using the appliance and unplug it from the socket outlet. Return it to the place of purchase in exchange for a replacement Kambrook KMO400 Essentials 30L microwave oven, or a refund where a replacement is not available.
