The problem

Kathmandu has recalled its Rechargeable Hand Torch 135. If the rechargeable battery is placed in the torch the wrong way round while the torch is connected to the USB-charging cable it can cause the cable to heat up. This could melt the cable.

The torches were sold at Kathmandu store, including the online store, since 1 August 2014.

What to do

  • Stop using the torch and return to your nearest Kathmandu store or call 0800 001 234 for a refund.
