The problem

Linetek LS-15 power cords have been recalled because they may overheat and could cause a fire or burns.

Details

The cords were sold nationally from 1 Sept 2010 to 31 March 2015 for use with Acer, Gateway and eMachines branded notebook computers. Users can find model number LS-15 printed on their cord connector.

What to do

Consumers should check the following website to determine if their power cord is affected: http://customercare.acer-apac.com/CustomerCare/LS15PowerCord.aspx?IType=LS-15&Brand=ACR&CID=NZ&LID=ENG

If your power cord is affected, stop using it and dispose of it immediately. Request a free replacement power cord using the above website, and Acer will send the replacement by mail.
