The problem

Maxi-Cosi Euro A2 Convertible Car Seats are being recalled because of a problem that could cause the harness to loosen and no longer be able to restrain the child.

Details

There were 41 of these car seats sold through The Baby Factory since April. The fabric around the harness adjuster mechanism may get caught, allowing the should harnesses to loosen without it being lifted. The affected car seats have a date of manufacture between 16 September 2014 and 12 March 2015.

What to do

  • Contact IGC Dorel to arrange for a free replacement trim for your car seat. Phone 0800 628 000 or email customerservice@igc.co.nz.
  • You can use the car seat while waiting for the replacement trim. Ensure the harness adjustor is free from any impediment.
