The problem

In a small number of the NH-DB16E models it was discovered a capacitor can overheat and surrounding plastic could possibly catch alight.

Details

The affected dehumidifiers were purchased in 2013 with date code 0213. They were sold at Mitre 10 and Mitre 10 Mega. The 2011 and 2012 models are not affected.

What to do

  • Stop using the dehumidifier immediately.

  • Do not return it to the store.

  • Contact CDB for instructions on how to receive a replacement dehumidifier. Phone 8am-5pm Monday-Friday or email recall@cdb.co.nz.
