Panasonic has recalled its Toughpad FZ-G1 tablets (Mk1 to Mk3) because the battery pack supplied with the product may overheat when in use. The battery pack could ignite and pose a fire risk.


Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 tablets (Mk1 to Mk3) with a rechargeable battery pack are affected.

Affected battery packs have the serial number FZ-VZSU84U.

Tablets with the following serial numbers are affected:

What to do

Remove the battery and use the tablet by plugging it into a power source.

If you’re using the tablet in the field, visit Panasonic’s website to download a BIOS utility upgrade that will allow safer use of the battery pack.
