The problem

The Shark Rocket Ultra-Light vacuum cleaner is being recalled. An issue with the cord may cause a burn or electric shock while vacuuming.

Details

The Shark Rocket Ultra-Light is model number HV300NZ. The affected vacuums were manufactured from 16 January 2014 to 15 November 2014 with a production code between 0314A and 4614A. They were sold through the TV Shop and electrical retailers including Harvey Norman, Noel Leeming, Mitre 10 and Farmers.

Two other Shark vacuum models were recalled in March 2015.

What to do

Unplug your vacuum cleaner and do not use it until it has been repaired. All products subject to the recall will require cord replacement that will be installed free of charge through an authorised Shark Service Centre.

Visit www.sharkclean.co.nz for guidance on identifying the affected models and for instructions on how to return for repair. The Shark customer service team is also available on 0800 109 009.
