The problem

Le Marche Francais has recalled a batch of Perail La Tradition brand Perail de Brebis (raw sheep’s milk cheese) because it may contain listeria and salmonella.

Details

The affected batch number is 203, with a best before date of 31 August 2015.

The products were sold in 150g individually wrapped packages at Fresh Choice Merivale (Christchurch), Fresh Choice Nelson, Fresh Choice Roslyn (Dunedin), Moore Wilson’s (Wellington) and the deli market at Le Marche Francais (Wellington).

What to do

Check the batch number and best before date of your cheese. If it’s affected by the recall, do not consume it and return it to your retailer for a full refund.
