Recall: Swann wireless door chimes

You could get an electric shock if the cover comes off the receiver.

Some Swann wireless door chimes have been recalled. When forced, the back cover may detach from the receiver, exposing live parts which could cause an electric shock.


Affected Swann wireless door chimes have one or two receivers and can be identified by the following:

  • model number SWHOM-DC820P2 or SWHOM-DC820P

  • serial number with the first 5 digits between 08548 and 09075

They were sold between January 2015 and February 2017 at the following stores:

  • Mitre 10
  • Mitre 10 Mega
  • Placemakers
  • Hammer Hardware

What to do

Stop using the door chime immediately and remove it from the power socket.

Check the serial number on the receiver. If it’s within the range specified, contact the supplier CDB for instructions on how to receive a replacement unit.
